The summer is slowly approaching, and I bet that you can’t wait to soak up in the sun on a nice sandy beach or hike all the way up to mountain peaks. This is what holiday is for, isn’t it? Maybe. But we’ve got an alternative lined up for those who want to sink into the world of Ruby on Rails instead. If you are an eager developer who seeks comprehensive knowledge of RoR programming, you’ve come to the right place.

Netguru Code College - What You Get

This summer, we are running two-week workshops for coding enthusiasts who want to start off with a new programming language. Not only will they be a great opportunity to learn valuable skills from experienced developers, but also a chance to learn about the working culture in a software house – at Netguru in particular.

As the workshops will take place in Netguru’s Poznan headquarters, you will be able to take advantage of all the perks we offer to our employees. We’ve got a chillout room with a football table, FIFA, Guitar Hero, board games and comfy couches for you to relax. We provide an endless flow of coffee, tea and other drinks alongside with snacks and sweets.

Leisure activities and the free food will be there for you to take a breather from the hardcore studying and practising that will take place over the two weeks. We want you to make the most out of the time spent with our developers, so expect heavy workload and loads of fun coding. The mentors, who will be assigned to small groups, will keep an eye on your progress and will be there whenever you need help or have questions. They will check how you are doing with tests, tasks and case studies along the way.

Sounds scary? Back to school? Not really. Workshops will take place in a real working environment with professionals who develop apps on a daily basis. You’ll get a chance to meet project managers, developers and application testers, who will walk you through the process of building an app. No theory – only genuine, real-life experience.

On top of that, mentors and other team members will provide you with feedback on your work. You will learn what your strengths are and what you should improve on. The feedback will help you grow as a developer and enhance your skills. Sounds interesting? Apply!

Who is Netguru Code College for?

Our vision for Netguru Code College is to transfer our knowledge and experience into other bright minds, who have the desire to take their skills to the next level.

You don’t need to be an advanced developer to join us. We require some technical background and basic knowledge of software development. We will introduce the participants to the world of Ruby on Rails and walk them through the whole process of building a web application.

If you want to become a professional coder, but you’re not sure how to get round to doing it, Netguru Code College will be the perfect start for you. It might also be a good way to learn a new language in practice in an internationally renowned company.

We do require you to have a very good command of English and be based in Poznan, Poland for the period between the 7th and 18th of August 2017.
