Vlocity Technical Lead - OM

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Salesforce and Vlocity professional to take a leading role in delivering large-scale digital transformation projects within a remote-first environment. The position focuses on designing and implementing advanced Vlocity Order Management solutions while guiding development teams through complex technical challenges. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive scalable architecture decisions, ensure delivery quality, and support agile project execution. The role combines hands-on development responsibilities with leadership and mentoring, making it ideal for someone who enjoys both technical problem-solving and team enablement. With exposure to cutting-edge Salesforce technologies and enterprise-level implementations, this role offers strong growth potential within an innovative and collaborative environment. Candidates based in Europe with German language skills will be especially well-positioned for success.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of Vlocity Order Management solutions, ensuring scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization.
- Work extensively with Vlocity tools and frameworks including OmniScript, DataRaptor, Integration Procedures, Vlocity Cards, Vlocity DX, OM, and OM+.
- Develop and maintain Lightning Web Components while contributing to overall Salesforce platform customization and integration activities.
- Support agile delivery processes by reviewing user stories, decomposing requirements into sprint tasks, and ensuring development readiness.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, helping strengthen internal Vlocity expertise and best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to estimate project timelines, identify technical risks, and drive successful project outcomes.
- Act as a key escalation point for complex technical issues and provide hands-on support throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Evaluate design decisions with a strong focus on system performance, reliability, and long-term business impact.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- At least 4 years of experience in a hands-on technical leadership role within enterprise software or Salesforce environments.
- Strong background in Salesforce and Vlocity development, including experience with OM implementations and advanced customization.
- Proven expertise with Lightning Web Components, JavaScript, relational databases, SQL, ETL tools, and related web technologies.
- Vlocity Platform Developer certification is required.
- Vlocity CPQ certification or equivalent certification in Salesforce CPQ or Apttus CPQ is required.
- Vlocity OM certification is highly preferred.
- Previous experience delivering Vlocity projects in telecommunications, insurance, healthcare, or other supported industries is highly valued.
- Ability to mentor technical teams, communicate effectively across stakeholders, and work independently in remote project environments.
- German language skills are preferred.
- Availability to travel up to 40–60% when required.
- Candidates must already have authorization to work in Europe, as visa sponsorship is not available.
