As a Financial Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global financial institution leading innovation in risk analytics within the banking sector. You’ll play a pivotal role in the accelerated development of prototypes that significantly impact risk analysis and measurement processes at the institution.
Your main responsibilities:
- Develop prototypes to enhance risk model consistency and streamline operational processes
- Foster innovation in risk measurement and modernize model development procedures
- Collaborate with the R&D unit to explore advanced methods for risk analytics

You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- 5+ years of experience building and testing applications professionally
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming (e.g., Java, C++, C# or Python) and mathematical programming (e.g., MATLAB)
- Strong knowledge of design patterns and testing principles
- An MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related technical field
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience in Agile development and continuous integration practices
- Familiarity with algorithms for processing large datasets (e.g., Map/Reduce)
- Knowledge of machine learning and pattern recognition techniques
- Experience with non-traditional database architectures (e.g., NoSQL)
