Senior Data Engineer

• Collaborating with data engineers and analysts to address challenges, design, and deliver data solutions from concept to deployment. 

• Taking ownership of the entire lifecycle of data engineering projects. 

• Developing advanced data pipelines to process external data sources, providing a competitive advantage for the organization. 

• Serving as a business consultant to align data solutions with organizational needs. 

• Ensuring the reliability and quality of existing data solutions to maximize their value within the company. 

• Identifying and suggesting improvements to data engineering tools and processes to foster innovation. 

• Guiding and mentoring junior team members to support their professional growth.

Must have’s: 

• Demonstrated experience (min.4 years) in Data Engineering. 

• Expertise with Azure and Databricks Data Platform technologies, including:  Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2), Azure SQL (PaaS) , Azure Data Factory (ADF) Azure Databricks (including Python development), Azure Functions.

• Proficient in data modeling techniques relevant to Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence, such as Kimball and Data Vault. 

• Skilled at interpreting business requirements and translating them into technical solutions. 

• Proven ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders. 

• Excellent communication skills, with a track record of effective collaboration within cross-functional teams. 

• Self-motivated with exceptional problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail. 

• Capable of meeting tight deadlines while quickly adapting to new information and collaborating with remote teams. 

• Extensive experience in developing efficient and reliable ETL processes to ingest and process both structured and unstructured data, supporting batch and real-time scenarios in cloud environments. 

• Proven expertise in maintaining and supporting existing data solutions in production environments, including identifying opportunities for improvement, investigating and resolving incidents, and monitoring systems to ensure SLA compliance. 

Nice to have’s: 

• Familiarity with Microsoft Business Intelligence tools, such as Power BI, SSAS (Tabular), SSIS, and SSRS. 

• Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines. 

• Experience working within Agile delivery frameworks, such as Scrum or Kanban. 

• Knowledge of PowerShell scripting.
