Senior Java Developer

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Java Developer. You will be working in a project team that demands technical excellence and whose members are expected to hold each other accountable for the overall success of the output.

The project team is responsible for an in-house developed IT solution in the Healthcare Sector. The team strives to enable the client's organization to satisfy business customers through the continuous delivery of valuable and high-quality software that drives business performance.

This role offers a full remote mode with a work schedule from 10:00 to 18:00.

Responsibilities

• Map user stories to detailed technical specifications
• Design, implement, test, deploy, maintain and document solutions, participate in code reviews
• Implement back-, middle- and front-end parts of applications, integrating and testing them
• Manage multiple source repositories, cherry-pick changes, and maintain the release repository. In parallel with current development, maintain the release configuration repository
• Conduct operational triage for bugs, failed test cases, and system failures
• Occasionally support new releases and business activities during after-hours or on weekends
• Ask smart questions, take risks and champion new ideas

• 3+ years of experience with IT projects, including at least 1 fully participated in and delivered project
• 1+ years of strong hands-on development experience in developing enterprise-class applications using the technical stack employed in the Client's landscape (Java, Spring, Angular, and JS/Typescript)
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions on Oracle DB
• Ability to work in an iterative Agile pattern daily
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in SDLC, especially in testing and deployment
• Experience with Agile delivery (Scrum)
• Strong knowledge of Design Patterns and comfort with the latest architectural paradigms
• Willingness and ability to travel to other client's delivery center locations across Poland and the US
• English at a B2+ level

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Microservices/Enterprise Integration Patterns, messaging systems (JMS/AMQ/WMQ), and rules engines (preferably BRMS)
• Mongo DB/Hadoop experience
• Experience working with cross-location teams
• Experience in drawing up system and low-level designs
• Experience delivering in the SAFe delivery model
• Knowledge of the healthcare insurance domain
• Business Driven Development (BDD) / Specification by Example
• Experience in customer-facing roles
