  • Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience
  • Fluency in English
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in Spark/Scala
  • Strong expertise in Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Scala, Hive, HDFS, SQOOP, Oozie, Hadoop)
  • Basic knowledge of Jenkins, GIT, Python/Java, and SQL
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Team player with good collaboration skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Banking background is a plus
  • French language would be an asset

Responsibilities

  • Global Collaboration & Proactive Engagement – Work in a worldwide setup following the follow-the-sun model, demonstrating proactivity, assertiveness, teamwork, and fluency in English.
  • IT Solution Delivery & Technical Ownership – Regularly deliver IT solutions (every 2-3 weeks using Scrum), ensuring business value, ownership of assigned topics, and adherence to security, scalability, and user experience best practices.
  • Technical Architecture & Big Data Integration – Analyze user needs, define technical architecture specifications, contribute to big data architecture recommendations, and ensure the seamless integration of Datalake use cases.
  • Development & Continuous Delivery – Develop and implement data processing jobs (Spark/Scala), improve CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Sonar, Nexus, Kubernetes), and ensure high-quality, maintainable code through code reviews and best practices.
  • Agile & DevOps Practices – Apply Agile Scrum methodology, participate in all ceremonies, implement Craft practices (BDD, TDD, clean code, peer programming), and follow development and DevOps standards (infra as code, branching strategy, etc.).
  • Risk Management & Quality Assurance – Identify potential project risks related to costs and timelines, propose mitigation strategies, ensure adherence to testing strategies, and maintain the technical quality of the product.
  • Knowledge Sharing & Technical Growth – Share expertise with team members, contribute to collective technical improvements, engage in continuous learning, and collaborate on GitHub Enterprise for code sharing.
  • Support & Continuous Improvement – Monitor delivered solutions, analyze errors, support production issues, ensure smooth post-release processes, and contribute to ongoing technical and operational enhancements.
