Your tasks

Stakeholder Management

  • To ensure that all stakeholders are engaged in timely fashion and made aware of the overall testing strategy/process to ensure their participation in the testing phases in the relevant capacity
  • To be accountable for ensuring that all test plans are agreed, required expectations are met and all sign-offs obtained from the relevant stakeholders
  • In case of complex and wide testing requirements, to plan and run the testing war-room with co-located stakeholders - managing all aspects from scheduling to obtaining required sign-offs - with a tight day-to-day plan
  • Socialise and agree the fix-release plans upfront with impacted stakeholders including regression and functional UAT plans

Test Strategy and Overall Testing Ownership

  • Act as the owner of overall testing across all phases
  • To define the overall test strategy, centrally coordinating across various business streams, technology, vendor and other stakeholders - and get agreement on the strategy from all stakeholders
  • Prepare and own the detailed test plans to ensure the integrity of overall project schedule
  • To review test cases ensuring completeness of UAT coverage

Communication and Change Management

  • Communication with the various stakeholders at all levels - at appropriate forums - including PWGs, Periodic Test Progress Calls, Results walk-throughs, Sign-off calls etc.
  • Communicate the test progress with accurate reporting on a periodic basis (daily, weekly or as per phasing) to appropriate stakeholders
  • Follow up with various task owners to ensure the timely completion of tasks and any delays or risks are reported / escalated

Governance & Testing Process Improvements

  • To bring in the testing best practices and to implement overall process improvements
  • Push the testing automation agenda with a view to improve the productivity and to cut-short the regression testing window
  • Review the lessons learned from previous releases / phases and to ensure that follow up / corrective actions are taken on time to ensure the smooth execution of upcoming test phases

Project description

The Finance Change function in bank is undertaking a multi-year strategic programme delivering scalable high-performance platform with unified data store, integrated risk engines and analytical Business Intelligence tool optimizing the current business model.

The key elements of the programme are from a liquidity forecasting perspective:

  • Internal and regulatory liquidity measures (Survival Horizon, Cash Flow Mismatch Report, LCR, NSFR),
  • Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP),
  • Interest Rate Risk Service availability & reliability

Who we're looking for?

  • 7+ years of experience in a business facing test-lead and/or project management role
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with prior experience in running war-rooms or test-focused working groups
  • Domain knowledge in FTP - from a test lead or business analyst capacity
  • Familiarity with SDLC and strong insights on various testing phases, methodology and tools
  • Agile Project Methodology - preferable with experience in automated regression testing
  • Ability to write multi-application test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases with expected outcome
  • Experience in executing and supporting all test phases, knowledge of SQL, defect tracking and issue closures
  • Experience with waterfall & agile methodologies
  • Proactive, self starter, autonomous & highly organised
  • Oversee all end-to-end testing activities for all phases of testing and co-ordinating with different stakeholders involved i.e. T&I, Treasury, FOT, GFS, Vendors
  • Prepare, manage and walkthrough the overall test strategy / test plan with stakeholders and seek their sign off
  • Track and monitor the test plan and ensure is executed as planned schedule
  • Collaborate with T & I /Vendor to ensure readiness of test environments including data and follow up on bug fixes for ETA , across impacts analysis as needed
  • Track & Monitor FOT/Business stakeholders test validation and help with issue resolutions
  • Work closely with IT&I and Vendor teams to ensure that Test Environment is prepared with agreed test data set as per business agreements and SDF guidelines
  • Ensure test scenarios/cases are prepared prior to test commencement and reviewed and signed off by FOT, test results are captured and uploaded on project SharePoint , issues are logged, tracked and followed up in Defect Management tool i.e. JIRA
  • Run daily Defects call with T&I, Vendor, FOT to understand the blockers and move to resolution
  • To prepare and send daily test status report on day to day testing progress to all stakeholders involved
  • Prepare and get sign off from T&I/FOT/FTP Policy/ Treasury / GFS on Final test report

This role requires strong Stakeholder Management and Communications skills, sound understanding of the Systems Development Life Cycle, an understanding of functional areas specifically FTP to satisfy delivery of business benefits.
