Your tasks

  • Analyse a set of global regulatory requirements that need to be met by the solution
  • Covert these regulatory requirements into a set of business requirements and functional requirements for an IT solution
  • Analyze existing local solutions against requirements, identify gaps and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide review and challenge solution functional design against the OCIR requirements
  • Create a project roadmap in collaboration with the business PO, including potential product increments, their respective scope and indicative sizes (in terms of user stories & story points)

Project description

Driven by regulatory demand, our client, a top tier investment bank has to establish Global Operational Continuity in Resolution (OCIR) framework across the existing fragmented local solutions, harmonizing taxonomy, processes and procedures and increasing transparency on dependencies and risks in order to ensure and support going concern during resolution or stress situation.

Objective of our project is to provide a global analytics and MI solution using approved data sources, standardize and improve data quality. This global solution has to allow flexible configuration of regulatory rules to enable decommissioning of local fragmented solutions as well as flexible data models, business rules, documentation standards to ensure that capabilities and solutions are scalable, transparent and facilitate:

  • Restructuring - timely execution of a bank’s recovery and resolution plan
  • Reacting to ad-hoc regulatory requests or rules changes
  • Adaptation to a long-term roadmap

Who we're looking for?

  • Minimum 5-8 years banking industry experience, with experience in interpreting Regulatory requirements into Business requirements
  • Broad understanding of banking industry, customers, functions, and products
  • Data Analysis - able to query data using SQL from disperse data sets, analyse data quality, trends and evaluate information
  • Proven ability at building up relationships with stakeholders, and of identification and support of stakeholders needs and expectations
  • Prior experience of working in geographically distributed teams
  • Good knowledge of SDLC methodology
  • Practical experience with Agile/Scrum (agile planning, estimations, backlog grooming, etc.)
  • Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Excellent communication skills - able to communicate issues and solutions clearly and concisely at all levels
  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment

Knowledge of international standards for resolution regimes, e. g.:

  • PRA Supervisory Statement (SS) 9/16 ‘Ensuring operational continuity in resolution’
  • Bank recovery and resolution Directive 2014/59/EU (BRRD) of the European Parliament
  • FSB Key Attributes of Effective Resolution Regimes for Financial Institutions
