We did it!
We have created a Diversity report on the Polish IT industry. We collected over 1,300 surveys from IT specialists and we now know what they think about diversity initiatives and equal opportunity programs in the workplace and society in general. We also studied the percentage of respondents belonging to each of the diverse groups we defined.
The report also includes best practices from top companies operating in the Polish IT market.
Personally, I appreciate Tesco creates conditions that allow non-neurotypical people to feel good in the organization. I have had such an experience in the past, I used to lay awake at night thinking about an email or conversation from work. Since working for Tesco, I haven’t had any of the same issues. The difference now is that I can confidently finish work without worrying about what’s to come. If I need time off because I’m sick, I’m given the space to rest, recharge and recover.
Almost 50% and in the largest IT companies up to 67% of all employees are already aware of the ongoing D&I activities in their organizations. Such a high percentage of activities is a result of, for example, high employment. By belonging to the same organization, employees can build communities based on shared values. At Luxoft, we have been actively implementing diversity policies for more than 3 years, with dozens of projects each year. In smaller companies, D&I initiatives are a trend that is gaining importance. Only research in the next few years will tell us more about how fast and in which direction this trend is developing.
Each D&I group requires special focus and actions adapted to its needs - their scope will vary depending on, among other things, the size of the company under review. At Luxoft Poland, we operate with our community in mind, because we know that implementing and executing D&I programs allows us to create an integrated, ethical workplace. We are an international company - we employ people from as many as 52 different nations in Poland alone - and we place special emphasis on cultural diversity. This motivates us to create a safe work environment.

At T-Mobile, we have a DE&I (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) strategy in which the voice of our employees is paramount. We regularly listen to the needs of the #MagentaTeam through Pulse surveys, and based on the results, we take action. Currently, we support and build initiatives for intergenerational, women, and LGBTQ+ groups. Every voice is valuable, so besides collective actions, we also address individual needs. Thanks to this collaborative approach based on dialogue, our inclusivity, and commitment to equal opportunities are highly valued.

Biannually, we conduct “Every Voice Matters,” an all-colleagues survey that provides us with insight on how our colleagues feel working for Tesco. Recent surveys show that colleagues can be themselves at Tesco without fear of judgement. Research Methodology
The survey was conducted from August 2, 2023 to August 31, 2023.
Recruitment for the survey took place through the bulldogjob.pl website, social media channels, internet publishers, via email, and through research partners.
The survey was fully anonymous - it is not possible to attribute specific responses to individual respondents based on statistical analysis.
The survey included basic types of questions: closed-ended, multiple-choice, and scale questions. Not all questions were mandatory.
The survey was designed to allow completion on both desktop (laptop, PC) and mobile (smartphone, tablet) devices.
We received 1575 fully completed surveys, with required fields. However, the analysis only included respondents who were positively verified in terms of data quality.
In particular, only the surveys of people who declared they work commercially in the IT industry were allowed for analysis.
The sample consisted of 1325 respondents.
Not all questions were directed to all respondents – the survey contained filter questions that limited the group of respondents to those meeting certain criteria.
Percentage results above 10% were rounded to the nearest whole number, while those below 10% to 1 decimal place. This is one of the reasons why the data from the charts do not always add up to 100%
In some questions, rarely occurring results were not included in the chart for clarity. This is another reason why the result presented on the chart may not add up to 100%.
