The Power Electronics team has being established in Krakow in 2021, as part of this team, you will be working in a small, cross-functional team of highly skilled engineers consisting of Power Electronics, Control Engineers, HW Electronics and Mechanical Engineers. You will develop a new breakthrough modular converter platform based on wide bandgap semiconductors (e.g. SiC) for a range of grid and DC applications. Reporting to Agnieszka Wojtysiak Technology Manager GI T&SD Krakow supported by Adam Ruszczyk Senior Principal R&D Engineer you will cooperate with global R&D teams, in case of technical questions you will get direct support from Simon Round Corporate Executive Engineer – Power Electronics & Digital. A creative environment allows you to utilize your knowledge and skills in technology and product development to identify and implement innovative solutions for a new Product Platform.

Your responsibilities:

  • Be a part of converter design process starting from idea generation and simulation, through circuit design and prototyping up to a verification of new products
  • Use your experience and knowledge from Radio Frequency domain to help keeping Signal and Power Integrity of new designs.
  • Design and validation of CM & DM filters.
  • Use of design supporting tools as circuit and FEM simulations.
  • Contribute to solve technical challenges related to EMC/EMI at every project phase from design concept to verification.
  • Have ability to interpret results from simulation and measurements.
  • Understand magnetic components physics.
  • Apply of EMC/EMI standards
  • Support a fast, iterative design process in a cross-functional, dedicated team.
  • Use fast prototyping and lab mockups to close learning loops and achieve results quickly.
  • Build up and maintain measurement test setups to verify performance, efficiency and robustness
  • Working in modern laboratories; bringing up prototypes; evaluating designs limits

Your background:

  • BSc/MSc/PhD degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Experience with RF electronics, high speed semiconductor circuits, power electronic converters, and passive filters.
  • Participation in design process from EMC/EMI perspective.
  • Experience with simulation tools (like Spice, SIMetrix, Simulink, PLECS, AnSys) is welcome.
  • Understanding of signal theory for electronics applications
  • Experience with specification, selection and qualification of power devices, PCB circuits, and passive components and filter components.
  • Experience with working with laboratory equipment for measurements and testing.
  • Strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
  • A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and desire to learn about new technologies.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
  • As you will be part of a global business, fluency in written and spoken English is required
