The Cash Equities Principal e-Trading project focuses on the development, comprehensive testing and automation of a high-performance electronic trading platform dedicated to cash equities in principal trading operations. This platform enables real-time order execution using the FIX protocol and ensures full compliance with US financial regulations and MiFID II. The system supports high-frequency trading with a focus on speed, reliability and regulatory adherence.

The project covers the full software development lifecycle, incorporating functional, regression, performance and load testing. Test automation is a key component, leveraging Core Java and the Cucumber/Gherkin framework to streamline testing processes and maintain software integrity in a dynamic trading environment.

Lead and manage the complete end-to-end testing lifecycle for the Cash Equities Principal e-Trading platform, from planning to execution and reporting.

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Core Java and Cucumber/Gherkin to ensure efficient and reliable testing processes.

Perform detailed manual testing, including functional, regression, and Front-to-Back (F2B) testing to validate system behavior and data integrity.

Ensure the platform complies with US regulations, MiFID II, and other applicable financial regulations through rigorous compliance testing.

Conduct performance and load testing to identify bottlenecks, optimize system performance, and ensure the platform handles high transaction volumes.

Set up, manage, and maintain test environments, ensuring they accurately reflect production conditions for reliable test results.

Validate and troubleshoot FIX protocol communications to ensure accurate order routing and trade execution across interconnected systems.

Write and optimize complex SQL queries to verify data accuracy, integrity, and consistency within the platform's databases.

Identify, analyze, and resolve performance issues affecting system functionality, using diagnostic tools and log analysis for root cause identification.

Collaborate with developers, business analysts, traders, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, report issues, and deliver high-quality solutions.

Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives) and contribute to continuous integration and deployment within a DevOps framework.

Generate clear, concise test reports and documentation using Power BI and Power Pivot for effective communication with stakeholders.

Identify opportunities for process improvement, including the adoption of AI-driven QA techniques to enhance automation and testing efficiency.

Provide mentorship and share best practices with junior QA team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.

Assess risks associated with system changes, prioritize testing activities, and ensure critical functionalities are thoroughly tested within project deadlines.
