Data Engineer

We are looking for someone who brings:

• Extensive skills in Python, SQL, MDX, and Bash scripting
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure data components (Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Blob Storage, SharePoint, Databricks)
• Expertise in data workflow orchestration (ADF, Databricks Jobs, and potentially Airflow)
• Strong proficiency in version control and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools
• Experience working with Snowflake within the Azure cloud environment
• Familiarity with data governance principles, including cataloging & metadata, data lineage, master data management, security, and compliance

Additionally, it would be a plus to have:

• Knowledge of SAP Business Warehouse as a data source
• Azure Data Engineer or Data Analytics certification
• Understanding of BI tools such as Power BI
• Experience with PySpark or Scala

• Developing, optimizing & maintaining big data (ELT/ETL) pipelines for business intelligence and statistical modeling purposes
• Ensuring & monitoring data quality and integrity
• Setting up and configuring data storage systems (e.g., SQL databases, data lakes)
• Managing and supporting production use of connections between key elements of data infrastructure
• Writing and maintaining secure, robust, scalable, and efficient code that transforms business concepts into tangible solutions
• Driving engineering best practices like automation, CI/CD, and maintainability
• Supporting standardization and automation by following best practices and common development standards
• Collaborating with BI analysts, data scientists, ML engineers, and core IT in cross-functional teams, delivering value through data solutions.
