We are looking for a Business Objects Developer for our client - one of the world's largest natural resource companies.
You will be a part of the Data Visualisation team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining reports, predominantly in Business Objects. We are a highly motivated and experienced team, and we are looking for a new team member to join who will strengthen our Business Objects reporting capabilities.
- Definition, Design and development of BO Universes and Reports (WebI, Crystal and Dashboards).
- Working with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and delivering effective technical solutions.
- Assisting in the administration of the BO system, repository, and security model, as well as patching and upgrades.
MUST
- 5+ years of relevant experience (ideal candidate should have 10 years)
- Educated to degree level (or equivalent workplace experience)
- Business Objects 4.x architecture, minimum of 3-4 years of experience, and its product components
- Experience in Power BI is a plus, as is the willingness to train up and learn these tools if they are not already part of your skill set.
- Good understanding of Oracle and can write SQL queries to analyse/extract data.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and openness to constructive feedback and collaboration.
- Fluency in English (corporate language), both spoken and written.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer service mentality.
- Straightforward/hands-on approach with a 'can do' attitude and a proven track record.
- Team player who can both collaborate and personally take ownership of tasks.
- Open to the sharing of ideas and to open dialogue to find the best and most pragmatic solutions possible.
- Experience in building business-critical end-user systems
