Position Summary:ART (Accounting Reporting Team) at Boku is looking for a Software Engineer Consultant to join us. This is a hybrid position based in Estonia (Tartu or Tallinn) and will work collaboratively with team members globally (mainly Estonia & London). As part of ART, you will be responsible for end-to-end development and support of our Finance and Payment Operations teams by building reports & automating processes for them.
RESONSIBILITIES

Work hands-on with a highly skilled team of Engineers and stakeholders to ideate, build, and improve reporting resilience
An ability to think through the customer's pain points and requirements and to come up with a simple, elegant solution
Design, build, and enhance the data pipelines to be able to serve the reports
An ability to understand how data is generated and processed, with all challenges associated with it, such as working with millions of transactions, ETL, replications and complex Relational databases setup and operations.
Participate in all phases of the data pipeline and software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing and release

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience shipping high-quality products
Strong software & data pipeline design and architecture skills
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with cross-functional teams: Product Management, Operational Support, etc.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document and explain technical design, best practices, and integration guide to both technical and non-technical audiences
Hands-on software development experience in Java
Hands-on experience with relational databases (MySQL and AWS Redshift would be ideal)
Hands-on experience in analysing large datasets and optimising SQL query performance
Experience with some (or all) of the following technologies/frameworks/tools: Maven, Git, JMS, Spring, JPA/Hibernate, Jersey, Jetty, Kubernetes

Has worked or is currently working in the Payment industry
Has experience in data transformation tools like Dagster & DBT modelling
