Information about the position 

Vinted’s Finance team is in charge of producing transparent, high-quality financial accounts, as well as contributing towards sustainable operations and company growth.

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Team Lead who will lead a team of 5-7 AP accounting specialists, ensure that the company and team objectives are achieved through the tasks performed and nurture the personal and professional growth of the team members. The ideal candidate will be a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong background in accounts payable processes, leadership skills, and a proactive positive attitude towards participating in projects that drive process improvements and organisational growth.

In this position, you’ll 
  • Lead a team of 5-7 accounting specialists for the AP accounting area (invoices input into ERP, internal and external communication)
  • Track team KPIs, plan team resources according to growing transaction volumes and effectively coordinate team workload and tasks
  • Ensure the correctness and completeness of the AP tasks performed as well assist the team members with complex accounting transactions across all Vinted Group jurisdictions
  • Participate in month end close tasks
  • Lead the process efficiency, automation, improvements and participate in projects
  • Communicate with external stakeholders for ad hoc queries requiring a higher level of diplomacy and problem solving skills
About you 
  • Proven track record in accounting and experience in a leading role
  • Result oriented and self-motivated professional, who thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Experienced with AP process management
  • Experienced with allocation of costs to general ledger accounts
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively review the work of others, using adequate tools and reconciliation methods
  • Advantage: Knowledge of foreign countries VAT regulations, local VAT regulations
  • Advantage: Knowledge of IFRS
  • Advantage: Experienced in processes enhancement, standardisation and improvements implementation
  • Proficient user of MS Excel/Google workspace
  • Excellent at communicating in spoken and written English (it’s our working language)
