Together with our client, we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer. It is a product-led analytics group at the forefront of digital transformation, focused on integrating Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) into enterprise-scale solutions. The team is composed of software developers, data scientists, and engineers who deliver smart, scalable, and secure platforms used across multiple business domains in aerospace and defense.

We are currently seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join Poland-based team. This role is crucial in supporting and scaling AI/ML-powered products that are reshaping the way data-driven decisions are made across the organization. You will take ownership of complex infrastructure, automation pipelines, and operational workflows - delivering high-performing, cloud-native solutions used by engineering and analytics teams worldwide.

This position involves hands-on collaboration with a multidisciplinary, global team and offers a dynamic environment where innovation, automation, and continuous improvement are highly valued.

Key responsibilities:

  • Automate Infrastructure: Design and implement provisioning using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation for services such as EC2, RDS, Lambda, and more.
  • CI/CD Engineering: Build, improve, and manage GitLab-based CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable and secure code delivery and deployment.
  • Developer Tooling: Develop and maintain a centralized developer portal providing access to system health dashboards, deployment statuses, and documentation.
  • Database Management: Automate deployment and integration of RDBMS solutions (e.g., Amazon RDS, Aurora) into cloud data ecosystems.
  • Data Model Automation: Implement automation workflows for ingesting, transforming, and integrating raw and enriched data models into the data lakehouse.
  • Monitoring & Observability: Use AWS CloudWatch and related tools for system logging, health checks, and alerting to ensure service reliability and performance.
  • Pipeline Optimization: Continuously evaluate and enhance infrastructure pipelines to achieve higher levels of speed, stability, and security.

  • Contract Type: Full-time employment under a local Polish contract.
  • Work Setup: Hybrid model – with 2 days/week onsite in Gdańsk.

  • Minimum of 6 years in DevOps or infrastructure automation roles, including work in cloud-native and security-conscious environments.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong practical experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM, and KMS.
  • Proficiency in Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Advanced experience with GitLab CI/CD, Docker integration, and cloud deployments.
  • Knowledge of AWS GovCloud, FedRAMP, NIST standards, and secure DevOps practices.
  • Skilled in automating ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, Step Functions, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).
  • Strong communication and documentation skills in English (B2+).
  • Must have legal authorization to work in Poland.
