We’re looking for a visionary Head of Copy– User Experience & Marketing to lead and elevate our brand voice across all touchpoints—from product interfaces to local marketing as well as global campaigns. This role sits at the intersection of user experience, storytelling, and strategic communication, ensuring that every word we publish, everywhere, is purposeful, consistent, and impactful.
You’ll manage a team of UX writers and marketing writers, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Design, Markets, Marketing & Comms, Research, Customer Service, Internal Comms and more. You and your team will shape the narrative that defines how users experience and connect with our brand. You’ll report to: VP of Brand & Communications.
What you will be doing :

Lead Copy Strategy: Define and evolve the brand voice and tone across all platforms—product (site and app), email, social, advertising, talent acquisition, employee engagement, customer service and more. Including defining propositions, claims and messaging.

Team Leadership: Build, manage, mentor, and grow a team of UX writers and marketing copywriters. Foster a culture of creativity, clarity, and collaboration.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, Marketing, and Customer Experience teams to ensure cohesive messaging and seamless user journeys.

Content Governance: Establish and maintain content guidelines, editorial standards, and scalable systems for content creation and review, including translation solutions and AI.

User-Centered Writing: Champion UX writing best practices and marketing copy best practices to ensure clarity, accessibility, and empathy in all user/consumer-facing content.

Marketing Copy Development: Oversee the creation of compelling marketing copy for product launches, brand campaigns, CRM, social and performance marketing.

Performance & Optimization: Use testing, data and user/consumer feedback to iterate on propositions, messaging and improve engagement, conversion, and retention.

Drive progress and deliver: Lead and deliver within a scale-up culture and drive progress through ambiguity.

Impact: Ensure copy contributes measurably to product KPIs, including onboarding success, feature adoption, and user satisfaction. Champion concise, user-friendly CTAs that support seamless navigation and key user flows. Regularly test and refine copy using A/B testing, analytics, and user feedback to optimize for engagement, comprehension, and task completion. Mirror this approach in marketing copy, albeit using different testing methodologies and KPIs.
We are looking for someone who :
- Has 15+ years of experience in copywriting, with at least 3 years in a leadership role for copy across UX and Marketing.
- Has proven experience in both UX writing and marketing copywriting.
- Has global experience, writing for multiple markets
- Has direct experience in leading a globally distributed team, writing in multiple languages.
- Has exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Has a strong understanding of content strategy, brand, marketing, design thinking, and user-centered copy.
- Has experience working in agile, cross-functional teams.
- Is able to balance creativity with business goals and user needs.
- Is familiar with tools like Figma, CMS platforms, and content testing frameworks.
- Has a portfolio that showcases a range of work across digital products and marketing channels.
- Has experience in consumer tech (is a plus)
- Ideally has a background in linguistics, psychology, or creative agencies.
- Has knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive language practices (is a plus).
