Role Profile: We are seeking a highly skilled and expert Data Onboarding, Integration, and ETL Engineers to join our growing data platform team! If you are a hands-on data wrangler and expert in ELT/ETL, this is a great opportunity to get on board a new team in the commodities trading area of LSEG!
Role Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and integration solutions that support our data-driven initiatives. You will play a key role in onboarding new data sources, transforming data for analytics, and ensuring data quality and consistency across platforms.

We know balance is the key, therefore we propose hybrid way of working. You are welcome to work from our brand-new office every day, but you have still an opportunity to stay at home if needed. In this position you can work 4 days a week from home
Key Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for the onboarding of new data sources, including understanding source systems, data mapping, and integration requirements.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using SQL Server or equivalent technologies. Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data processes.
- Implement data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Fabric, and other Microsoft / Azure services.
- Supervise and optimize data workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Resolve data-related issues in a timely manner. Use version control systems such as Git to develop new features or code fixes.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in:
- Relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Data warehousing concepts and architecture
- ETL/ELT development and data integration
- SQL scripting and performance tuning
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience working with Azure cloud services, including:
- Azure services for ETL / ELT - Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage / ADLS Data Lake G2
- Azure Databricks or Microsoft Fabric
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data lifecycle management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages.
- Familiarity with data cataloging tools and metadata management.
- Knowledge of data security and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
