About The Role
As the Product Group Manager for Home & Living or Apparel, you will be the commercial leader for this product category group, responsible for its strategic direction and growth across various sales channels and merchant segments. You will lead a team of experienced Category Managers, empowering them and setting the direction to drive category performance and expand market opportunities.
Your responsibilities include defining and executing the strategic vision for the Home & Living or Apparel group, balancing core portfolio management with strategic new selections to maximize sales, profitability, and market positioning. You will ensure the assortment features best-selling products, innovative printing methods, and competitive pricing to maintain market leadership. Collaboration with cross-functional teams (product, operations, finance) is key to executing strategic initiatives.
Your Daily Tasks will Entail:
- Setting the strategic direction for the Home & Living/Apparel group and driving initiatives aligned with company objectives.
- Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on group results against KPIs, making data-driven decisions.
- Leading and developing a team of product category managers and associates, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven culture.
- Proactively identifying and executing revenue opportunities independently.
- Managing and refining the existing product catalog to maintain market leadership, ensuring product competitiveness and quality.
- Leading the creation and execution of the new Home & Living/Apparel product roadmap, aligning with e-commerce trends, merchant needs, and business objectives.
- Incorporating data, research, and market analysis to inform stakeholders about new product and initiative roadmaps.
- Collaborating with sourcing, onboarding, design, and in-house development teams to introduce new products.
- Working with Sales and Marketing teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for maximum revenue potential.
- Collaborating with product teams to enhance the new merchant onboarding journey, product discoverability, and product creation experience.
Your Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in Category Management.
- 2+ years of experience in team leadership roles (e.g., Category Manager Lead, Business Development Manager), preferably in Home & Living or FMCG industries.
- Strong leadership skills and a proven track record of developing high-performance teams.
- Demonstrated experience in managing large product catalogs and driving revenue growth through cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, extract insights, and present actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in data and analytics tools (Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI).
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong English proficiency and excellent communication skills.
