Role Description
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead a project focused on developing a portal to streamline the Medicaid application process. This platform will support various Medicaid application types, allowing individuals and organizations to apply on behalf of others. The online system aims to reduce government response times from 45 days to 24 hours.
Responsibilities
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Guide technical teams to ensure quality, technical feasibility, and timely execution.
- Oversee scope, timelines, and resources for predictable, on-time delivery.
- Identify and prioritize features based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.
- Maintain and refine the product backlog, ensuring clarity, prioritization, and readiness for development.
- Oversee and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Make informed trade-off decisions between scope, resources, and timelines under tight deadlines to achieve optimal business outcomes.
- Facilitate effective communication between business and technical teams for alignment.
- Monitor project progress, risks, and dependencies, implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
Key Requirements
- Proven track record in leading cross-functional software projects.
- Strong product mindset with the ability to prioritize initiatives based on value and strategic alignment.
- Solid technical background; hands-on experience with Python and React is a strong plus.
- Experience in managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects within tight constraints – on time and within budget.
Nice to Have
- Experience in government, healthcare, or public services digital transformation projects.
- Knowledge of Medicaid or similar benefits programs.
