The Role:

Joining Moderna offers the unique opportunity to be part of a pioneering team that's revolutionizing medicine through mRNA technology, with a diverse pipeline of development programs across various diseases.

As an employee, you’ll be part of a continually growing organization, working alongside exceptional colleagues and strategic partners worldwide, contributing to global health initiatives.

Moderna's commitment to advancing the technological frontier of mRNA medicines ensures a challenging and rewarding career experience, with the potential to make a significant impact on patients’ lives worldwide.

Moderna is solidifying its presence within our international business services hub in Warsaw, Poland, a city renowned for its rich scientific and technological heritage. This hub provides critical functions, meeting the growing demand of Moderna’s global business operations. We're inviting professionals from around the world to join our mission and contribute to the future of mRNA medicines.

This role sits within Moderna’s Commercial Data team and is pivotal in shaping and scaling Moderna’s commercial strategy through data and analytics. As a Data Solutions Architect, you will design and implement transformative data platforms and analytics solutions that power everything from advanced quantitative modeling and AI, to robust decision support and operational reporting. These architectures will be the data backbone Moderna relies on to bring life-changing mRNA medicines to market.

We’re looking for a versatile and experienced architect who thrives on both strategy and execution—comfortable translating high-level business objectives into concrete, scalable data ecosystems. You’ll be expected to lead technical discussions, provide architectural direction, and work with cross-functional partners to translate ideas into delivery. Your fluency in AWS-native technologies and understanding of traditional data warehousing paradigms will be critical to success.

Here's What You’ll Do:

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Defining and delivering end-to-end data architecture solutions across analytics initiatives, leveraging AWS and modern data lake/lakehouse models
  • Partnering with Commercial leadership and data engineering teams to envision, prototype, and launch new analytics capabilities
  • Driving the evolution of Moderna’s Data Platform technology roadmap and advocating for the timely implementation of key infrastructure initiatives
  • Leading technical discussions and mentoring teammates, offering architectural expertise and guidance across multiple workstreams
  • Supporting Moderna’s Commercial Data vision by delivering production-grade data collection, flow, and transformation pipelines

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Analyzing business requirements and translating them into data models, conceptual architectures, and scalable solutions
  • Producing development estimates and planning detailed execution strategies
  • Troubleshooting, optimizing, and supporting existing workflows with a mindset of continuous improvement
  • Coordinating closely with users, engineers, and operations to resolve data-related issues and support broader strategic initiatives
  • Documenting solution requirements and ensuring alignment between business needs and data platform capabilities

The key Moderna Mindsets you’ll need to succeed in the role:

  • “We act with dynamic range, driving strategy and execution at the same time at every step.” As a Data Solutions Architect, you’ll be expected to span strategic ideation and hands-on development. Whether it’s steering architectural discussions or debugging complex workflows, you must seamlessly shift between leading at the whiteboard and delivering code in production.
  • “We digitize everywhere possible using the power of code to maximize our impact on patients.” This role directly contributes to Moderna’s vision of data-driven decision-making by building scalable digital infrastructure. Your work will enable real-time insights and AI applications, enhancing Moderna’s ability to serve patients more effectively and efficiently.
