Senior UX Researcher

What You’ll Do

  • Lead qualitative research across the entire product lifecycle, from discovery to post launch evaluation.
  • Apply Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) frameworks to deeply understand user motivations, struggles, and unmet needs.
  • Design and conduct in-depth interviews, ethnographic studies, diary studies, and usability tests to uncover behavioral patterns and drivers.
  • Partner with product managers, designers, and growth teams to turn user insights into actionable hypotheses and influence prioritization.
  • Lead prototype and concept testing, helping teams validate assumptions and iterate quickly.
  • Develop research artifacts (personas, journey maps, JTBD frameworks, opportunity solution trees) that drive shared understanding across the company.
  • Build scalable ways of capturing user insights—e.g., rolling research programs, continuous discovery practices.
  • Evangelize a user-centered mindset across the organization by storytelling, workshops, and clear synthesis of findings.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 3-5+ years of experience in qualitative UX research in large scale B2C apps or mobile-first environments.
  • Proven ability to apply JTBD frameworks in real-world product development.
  • Strong expertise in interviewing, observation, concept testing, and prototype validation
  • Experience synthesizing insights into clear, actionable recommendations for product, design, and growth teams.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, agile environments with shifting priorities.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills to influence stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in B2C finance, payments, or wealth-tech
  • Familiarity with quantitative research methods and ability to partner with data analysts for mixed-method studies.
  • Knowledge of behavioral economics or psychology as applied to financial decision-making.
  • Experience setting up continuous discovery frameworks or rolling research programs.
