The Senior Data Engineer will lead the design, development, and optimization of data architectures and pipelines. This role involves mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that drive business insights and informed decision-making.
What You Can Expect
- Lead the development and maintenance of scalable data architectures and pipelines.
- Design and implement data models and schemas to support business intelligence and analytics.
- Optimize data processing workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers, providing technical leadership and best practices.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through rigorous testing and validation processes.
- Execute steady state operating and monitoring procedures for our data warehouse and periodic 24x7 on-call support as necessary

What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
- Expertise in big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) and data pipeline tools (e.g., Apache Nifi, Airflow).
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions such as Redshift, BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Experience with SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and ABAP .
What Makes You Unique
- Experience with cloud-based data solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of ETL tools (e.g., Talend, Boomi, Informatica).
- Familiarity with data governance and data security best practices.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker).
