About the role
Are you ready to make plant-based products taste amazing? Join us as a proactive and explorative R&D Intern (Product design plant-based creams) in our Creams team and help shape the future of sustainable food!
Your mission: reduce off-notes in plant-based cooking creams—a challenge that directly supports our goal of making the switch to plant-based easier and more delicious.
In this role you will:
- Dive into research: Review what’s been done and design your own plan.
- Experiment hands-on: Run trials in the lab and pilot plant.
- Collaborate with experts: Work with passionate teams across the company.
- Lead tasting sessions: Evaluate your creations and gather feedback.
- Learn the process: Gain deep insights into cream alternatives and flavour science.
- Team up on a side project: Share ideas and innovate with other interns.
- Showcase your impact: Present your findings and recommendations.
Location: Wageningen, Netherlands
Hybrid: 3-4 days per week in the office
Start date: March 2026
Duration: 6 months
So, what does it take to be successful in this role?
- You’re enrolled in a Master’s program in Food Technology, Food Processing, or a related field.
- You bring knowledge—or an inquisitive mindset—about dairy alternatives.
- Bonus points for experience with creams, emulsions, or plant-based proteins.
- You’re proactive, collaborative, and excited to explore new ideas.
- Strong communication skills in English are a must.
