We are seeking a motivated and science-driven R&D Intern – Product Design, Plant Butter and Spreads to support our Wrappers team. In this role, you will support wrappers recipes and process design initiatives within the Wrappers and Spreads team. Your responsibilities will include conducting research and trials on recipes design (incl. functional ingredient replacement/omitting), analysing process & performance conditions of current recipes versus proposed recipes. You will also conduct laboratory & performance testing of current recipes versus new proposed recipes to compare and evaluate the crystallization behaviours, droplet sizes, firmness and stabilities. You will also organize tasting sessions with the team, evaluating impact of changes on the taste profiles of the current recipe samples versus proposed recipe. Additionally, you will gather data on product quality and performance attributes and prepare the reports to track impact of changes and identify areas for improvement. Conducting lab scale, pilot plant scale trials according the recipe and process proposals and performing quality, taste and performance analyses of the trials will also be an important part of your role. This role will provide critical support in our research, design and innovation studies to design delicious, nutritious, affordable products by helping our company to navigate industry challenges and transformation towards a consumer/customer expectations.
