We are looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Stores team within the Delivery vertical in Estonia. The Stores team powers both our first-party (1P) and third-party (3P) grocery platforms. This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll shape the future of how our customers shop for groceries, manage complex partner integrations, and deliver scalable, reliable, and delightful experiences to millions of people.

About the role
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead the Stores engineering group — setting strategy, managing multiple engineering teams, partnering closely with Product, Data and Business leaders, and building the systems that enable Bolt to win in the highly competitive grocery space.
Your daily adventures will include:
- Define and drive the engineering strategy for the Stores domain, partnering closely with Product and Business teams.
- Lead and grow high-performing teams, including managing Engineering Managers and senior engineers. Oversee hiring, onboarding, mentoring, and succession planning to sustain long-term team excellence.
- Own the full software development lifecycle from refining requirements with Product Managers to delivering secure, scalable, and test-covered software solutions that meet compliance and business needs.
- Foster engineering excellence and technical alignment, ensuring code quality, architecture decisions, and delivery practices follow industry best standards and Bolt’s internal conventions.
- Synchronize cross-functional roadmaps, aligning with Stores stakeholders to manage delivery expectations while balancing technical scalability and business priorities.
- Promote a culture of ownership and continuous improvement, where engineers are empowered, documentation is clear, and accountability for production performance and resilience is upheld.

About you:
- You have proven experience in team and stakeholder management across multiple teams. You know how to lead and manage managers effectively.
- You make data-driven decisions, using metrics to guide team priorities and product improvements.
- You have a strong understanding of delivering and contributing to ROI-driven product roadmaps.
- You have backend development experience, preferably in a product-based company.
- You can motivate, inspire, and attract top talent while fostering a high-performing engineering culture.
- You lead initiatives end-to-end, driving execution even through the toughest challenges.
