Boeing Ukraine is seeking an Engineering Team Lead to join our team in Kyiv.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design.
  • Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment.
  • Lead development of test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Guide product design and verifies structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
  • Define and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied.
  • Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements.
  • Develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Works under minimal direction.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, chemistry, physics, mathematics.
  • 7+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
  • Provides technical solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and creativity.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience.
  • Experience problem solving and supporting corrective action plans.
  • Expert knowledge of aircraft structure, materials strengths and properties, design criteria, loading conditions, and processes (e.g. nondestructive testing, corrosion prevention).
  • Expert in reading, understanding, and can interpret engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design).
  • Expert knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as electrical, mechanical, and systems. The ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.
  • Expert knowledge of structural repair principles (e.g., fatigue and corrosion, stress analysis, statics, materials strength, material characteristics, repair techniques). Knowledge of structural repair, overhaul, nondestructive inspection, corrosion control, and composites.

  • Experience in applying extensive job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Highly effective communication skills with senior leadership.
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment.
  • 3+ years of experience in guiding the successful completion of aspects of major programs and may function in a project leadership role.
  • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area. This includes the ability to see and understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance.
  • Knowledge of Boeing's organizations, processes, program plans, policies and procedures, and products required to effectively perform functional responsibilities of the occupation.
