About the project
Samsung Ads is a global leader in advertising technology, leveraging Samsung's digital ecosystem to connect brands with audiences worldwide. The Engineering Platform (EP) Team provides foundational services for scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure, enabling self-service for multiple engineering teams. Key focus areas include runtime environments, observability, and automation. As part of Samsung, we work on transformative projects with diverse international teams, driving innovation in advertising technology.
Why Join Us? Join a rapidly growing team focused on building world-class advertising solutions. Tackle globally distributed systems, pioneer next-gen infrastructure, and contribute to Samsung's mission of shaping the future of advertising through technology. Collaborate with passionate developers and engineers to solve unique technical challenges while enjoying growth opportunities in a collaborative culture.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Architectural Design & Strategy: Co-architect scalable, fault-tolerant, and self-healing systems; design cloud-native solutions (microservices, serverless); modernize systems; and align technical designs with business goals.
· System Analysis & Optimization: Identify gaps, optimize for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency; align technical initiatives with budgets.
· Collaboration & Leadership: Mentor teams on best practices, consult on component building, and collaborate with non-engineering teams (product, privacy, governance).
· Technology Evaluation & Governance: Research and evaluate technologies; ensure security/compliance via cloud practices (IAM, encryption).
· Incident Management & Reliability: Enhance observability tools, lead post-incident initiatives, and align SLOs with technical constraints.
· Documentation & Standards: Maintain architecture documentation and serve as a subject matter expert for infrastructure challenges.
· Global Collaboration: Contribute to global SRE practices and Engineering Platform Teams.
You’ll act as a technical visionary, driving innovation in:
· Failure Tolerance & Resilience: Architect systems that anticipate and recover from failures autonomously.
· Cost-Efficient Scalability: Optimize systems through architecture and strategic planning.
· Cross-Functional Leadership: Mentor teams on best practices while translating complex technical details into actionable strategies for stakeholders.
Technologies in use:
· Cloud platforms: AWS (primary), GCP, Azure
· DevOps tools: Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines
· Observability: Monitoring, SLOs, error budgets
· Security: IAM, encryption, GDPR compliance

Amenities
