  • Develop and maintain secure configuration baselines and hardening standards for enterprise databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, cloud-native databases).
  • Conduct database security assessments, architecture reviews, and technical risk evaluations for new and existing platforms.
  • Implement and manage encryption, key management, and secure data‑handling practices across the Bank's data landscape.
  • Design and enforce strong authentication, authorization, and privileged‑access models in collaboration with Identity & Access Management (IAM) teams.
  • Deploy and optimize database activity monitoring (DAM) tools to detect and respond to unusual or unauthorized behavior.

Investigate data‑security incidents and provide expert input into incident response activities.

  • Perform vulnerability assessments, patch and configuration gap analysis, and support remediation planning.
  • Ensure compliance with internal security controls and external regulations (ISO 27001, SOX, GDPR, NIST).
  • Support cloud security initiatives across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud for database services and certificate/secret management workflows.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, application teams, and governance stakeholders to embed secure design principles.
  • Produce clear documentation, security guidelines, risk reports, and recommendations for technical and business stakeholders.

MUST
  • BSc. / MSc. in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of experience in database security, cybersecurity engineering, or database administration.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise database technologies and security principles.
  • Experience with encryption, secure configuration, and secure access controls.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their managed database offerings.
  • Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, CIS Benchmarks, ISO 27001.
  • Experience in analyzing logs, alerts, and security events.
