We are seeking a Senior Data Engineering Consultant with strong experience in building and optimizing data pipelines as well as creating data models for analysis and dashboards for the Connected Experience unit at Volvo Cars. The consultant will work with our product teams to design, implement, and automate data workflows that enhance data driven decision making.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines.
- Create and schedule jobs to produce clean, reliable, and well-structured data tables.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts and product owners to ensure data is optimized for reporting and visualization.

- Proven experience in data engineering or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Databricks and Snowflake.
- Proven experience with SQL.
- Hands-on experience working with Python.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and automation.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive improvements in complex environments.
- Experience working with visualization tools like PowerBI, ADX etc.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Experience working with nested data formats such as JSON is considered a plus.
