The project focuses on regulatory reporting for a major Investment Banking client. The environment is built on Linux/Unix and .NET and Java technologies, with upcoming development aimed at integrating the existing solution into a newly created enterprise‑wide data archiving platform designed for high‑volume, high‑throughput data processing.

We are expanding our Wroclaw‑based team to strengthen our quality engineering capabilities.

We are seeking a highly experienced Test Lead / Test Strategist with a strong background in automation, quality engineering, and test strategy design for complex, distributed systems. This role is ideal for someone who can define the overarching test strategy, architect automation frameworks, and guide implementation across multiple agile teams.

You will collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, and product teams to ensure quality is embedded throughout the SDLC and that the testing approach supports continuous delivery, regulatory compliance, and long‑term scalability.

Resposibilities:

  • Define the end‑to‑end test strategy for a large‑scale regulatory reporting platform, covering functional, non‑functional, integration, and data‑quality testing.
  • Architect and evolve automation frameworks and testing tools to support distributed systems built on Java/Kotlin, .NET, and Linux/Unix.
  • Establish quality governance, test processes, and best practices across multiple agile teams.
  • Drive adoption of TDD/BDD, shift‑left testing, and continuous testing practices.
  • Contribute to platform architecture discussions, ensuring testability, observability, and quality are built into the solution design.
  • Lead the design, development, and maintenance of automated test suites across UI, API, integration, and data pipelines.
  • Provide technical direction to QA engineers and developers on automation patterns, frameworks, and tooling.
  • Partner with development teams to define acceptance criteria, test levels, and quality gates.
  • Oversee test environment strategy, including CI/CD integration, test data management, and environment stability.
  • Investigate complex issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive long‑term quality improvements.

MUST
  • 10-15 years of experience in automation engineering, with at least 5 years in a test architect / strategist role.
  • Strong programming skills in Java or Kotlin (additional .NET experience is a plus).
  • Deep understanding of test automation frameworks, patterns (Page Object, Screenplay), and best practices.
  • Hands‑on experience with Selenium WebDriver, selectors, waits, timeouts, and basic JavaScript for WebDriver interactions.
  • Strong knowledge of BDD/TDD and experience implementing these practices at scale.
  • Experience with Kafka (event‑driven testing, message validation) is highly beneficial.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control, and build tools.
  • Experience testing distributed systems, microservices, and high‑volume data flows
  • Proven ability to define and implement test strategies for complex enterprise systems.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to mentor and guide QA teams, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working in agile environments with cross‑functional teams.
NICE TO HAVE
  • Experience in investment banking, regulatory reporting, or other highly regulated domains.
  • Knowledge of performance testing, security testing, or data‑quality frameworks.
