As a software engineer, you will be working on automating test ware tools for distributed server applications. You will be working with infrastructure, services, security and system engineers to define the software requirements.

All this is discussed and reviewed with your software team. A team of about 6 people consisting of a team lead, a software architect, a senior developer. After your SW design is approved you are responsible for implementing the design in Python, ansible and Azure Pipelines. Auto and unit testers are written in Python.

The development environment is Red Hat Linux. Client SW teams work in various modes such as Agile and SAFE.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of our client's internal software deployment tooling, based on Python CLI tool (click module). This tooling is essential for packaging, validating, and installing software features on the Virtual Compute Platform (VCP), ensuring reliable and consistent deployments across environments.

Define and maintain feature and package manifests that describe how software artefacts should be deployed and configured.

Use CLI tool to automate packaging workflows, including fetching artefacts, validating manifests, and creating deployable packages.

Support application teams in adopting a packaging framework by helping them structure their artefacts and define dependencies and configuration parameters.

Improving the reliability of the deployment process. This includes analyzing issues in the field, designing both quick fixes and long-term improvements, and ensuring that deployment logic is robust and maintainable.
