Note: * Required at least partial overlap with US working hours (Texas time zone, until approximately 8 PM UA time)
About the Project
We are looking for a strong Python Engineer to join a fast-growing US-based AI startup building automation and customer engagement products powered by AI.
The company develops AI-driven workflow and communication solutions used by hospitality and service businesses across the United States.
You’ll work closely with a small international engineering team on backend systems, integrations, automation flows, and infrastructure-related tasks in a fast-moving product environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend services and automation workflows using Python
- Build integrations with third-party systems and APIs
- Work with infrastructure-as-code and cloud environments
- Improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability of internal systems
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product stakeholders, and AI-focused team members
- Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and production support when needed
- Contribute to technical discussions and architecture decisions

You will work directly with a client through our Extended Team model. We try to do things differently and put our efforts into integrating you as deeply as possible into the client’s team. You work with the same tools and technologies as they do and are managed directly by the client without any intermediary in between. Essential knowledge, skills & experience:
- 4+ years of commercial experience with Python
- Strong experience building backend systems and APIs
- Experience working with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure and deployment environments
- Experience working with integrations and external APIs
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced startup environment
- Fluent English

- Exposure to AI/automation products
- Experience working with US-based teams/startups
