Technical Product Manager - Client Experience

We are seeking a highly technical and execution-focused Technical Product Manager to lead the evolution of client-facing platform experiences within a global commerce infrastructure environment. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, engineering excellence, and customer impact, shaping how businesses integrate with and interact with a complex technology platform. You will own critical capabilities across developer platforms, APIs, identity management, access systems, checkout experiences, and client-facing products. The position requires a strong product mindset combined with deep technical expertise to build scalable, reliable, and intuitive solutions. You will guide cross-functional teams in creating seamless integration journeys and improving how merchants and users experience digital commerce. Accountabilities:

  • Own the product strategy, roadmap, and execution for the client experience layer, acting as the primary leader responsible for developer platforms, APIs, identity and access management, and checkout experiences.
  • Translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions, including API strategies, event-driven architectures, client-facing workflows, and platform capabilities.
  • Lead autonomous, cross-functional teams of engineers and product contributors, ensuring alignment, execution excellence, and delivery of high-impact solutions.
  • Optimize the end-to-end client journey by improving developer onboarding, integration experiences, merchant account management, permissions, reporting, checkout flows, and user-facing interactions.
  • Drive the evolution toward AI-powered onboarding and integration experiences, reducing complexity and enabling more self-service and automated workflows.
  • Establish and maintain high standards for reliability, security, scalability, and performance across APIs, identity systems, and checkout experiences.
  • Promote a strong ownership culture by ensuring teams are responsible for the complete lifecycle of the products they build, from development through production operations.
  • Collaborate with engineering leaders, business stakeholders, and executive teams to evaluate trade-offs, prioritize investments, and align technical decisions with strategic goals.
  • Use data-driven frameworks to prioritize initiatives and create structured roadmaps that balance customer needs, technical improvements, and business opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Technical Product Manager, Product Manager, or similar role working on complex technical products, platforms, or infrastructure solutions.
  • Strong technical foundation with experience in cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, APIs, event-driven platforms, and modern software engineering practices.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions involving API design, platform architecture, microservices, SDKs, identity systems, and client-facing applications.
  • Demonstrated experience building platform products or complex distributed systems, ideally involving developer tools, APIs, SDKs, authentication systems, commerce platforms, or checkout experiences.
  • Strong execution skills with experience managing complex dependencies, improving delivery processes, and collaborating effectively with engineering teams.
  • A product-oriented mindset with the ability to balance technical quality, customer experience, business objectives, and long-term scalability.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineers, executives, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience making strategic product decisions, defining priorities, and managing trade-offs between speed, scalability, and technical debt.
  • Familiarity with API gateway design, API versioning, developer experience, SSO, permissions models, merchant analytics, checkout systems, and SDK-based experiences is highly preferred.
