EDI Technical Project Manager
The EDI Technical Project Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the successful implementation of new EDI integration projects, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and timelines, all while upholding the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, documentation, and closing projects. You will elicit and document detailed requirements, create detailed project plans, assign tasks, and collaborate with development teams for implementation. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders, you will drive effective communication and alignment to realize project objectives.
General Responsibilities
- Key participant in a small project or phases of a larger project
- Organizes activities of project team, identifying appropriate resources needed, and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project
- Must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, in order to effectively coordinate the activities of the team. Create project plans, communication plans, and all standard project documentation to ensure organization of the project team
- Conduct weekly project meetings to ensure deadlines are being met and the project is kept on target; drive for results and deadlines
- Provide timely updates to project business cases for stage gate approvals
Additional Responsibilities
- Support EDI and enterprise system projects by coordinating activities, schedules, resources, and project documentation.
- Conduct post-project reviews and drive continuous improvement of project management practices, standards, and processes.
- Support change management activities, evaluate impacts to scope and requirements, and implement necessary adjustments.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards through reviews, testing oversight, and corrective actions.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation and contingency plans to maintain project objectives.
- Partner with stakeholders, trading partners, suppliers, and internal teams to gather requirements, manage expectations, and communicate project status, risks, and changes.
