About Edpuzzle

Edpuzzle is a leading edtech company with offices in San Francisco and Barcelona and over 12 years of history helping teachers find and create exciting, interactive learning experiences. About the role

We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our Product team in Spain and help us build thoughtful, reliable experiences for teachers and students. In this role, you’ll contribute across the stack, partnering closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to understand problems, shape solutions, build features, and improve the product with user impact always in mind. You’ll bring your own perspective, question assumptions, and take ownership from problem understanding through implementation. Technically, we use React and Redux for our frontend and Node and Express applying DDD and hexagonal architecture in the backend. We use MongoDB for our database and are fully hosted on AWS.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Product and Engineering to understand user needs, explore solutions, and contribute to product and technical discussions with your own perspective.
  • Take ownership of the problems you work on by understanding why they matter to users, doing your own research, proposing solutions, and driving implementation.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teammates to keep projects moving with efficiency and focus.
  • Develop pixel perfect designs in partnership with the Design team.
  • Build simple, clean, testable, and reliable code across the stack.
  • Continuously learn how different parts of Edpuzzle’s software work.
  • Make effective use of the tools available to you, including AI where appropriate.
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.
