Role Overview

Our client is a European deep-tech startup developing next-generation radar systems for detecting and tracking small, low-flying drones. We are looking for a Fullstack Engineer with 3–5 years of experience, strong Rust and/or C++ skills, and practical frontend experience. You will build software for radar control, monitoring and real-time visualization, working closely with embedded, signal-processing and AI/ML engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop reliable, high-performance backend services in Rust and/or C++.
  • Build interfaces in React and TypeScript for system configuration, monitoring and visualization of detections and tracked objects.
  • Connect backend services and frontend applications through WebSocket, REST APIs or gRPC.
  • Integrate continuous sensor data streams, telemetry and external systems using TCP/IP, UDP and binary protocols.
  • Optimize latency, throughput, memory usage and frontend responsiveness.
  • Contribute to modular architecture, automated testing, documentation and Docker-based workflows.

Direct ownership of technical decisions and a visible impact on the product. Work with a multidisciplinary R&D team on real-time sensor applications where software performance, reliability and usability matter.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional software development experience.
  • Strong practical knowledge of Rust and/or modern C++.
  • Experience with React and TypeScript or comparable frontend technologies.
  • Experience with API design, network programming and frontend–backend integration.
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming, concurrency and multithreading.
  • Experience developing for Linux and working with Git and Docker.
  • Strong debugging skills and the ability to work independently in an evolving R&D environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with radar, robotics, sensor systems or hardware–software integration.
  • Familiarity with Tokio, Axum, Boost.Asio, gRPC, Protocol Buffers or ZeroMQ.
  • Experience with geospatial interfaces, WebGL/Canvas or Qt/QML.
  • Knowledge of profiling, CI/CD, CMake or time-series data storage.
