Our client is a leading global Financial Market data provider who runs a number of change programs to deliver high-quality software that connects Financial Markets across the globe in a real-time, high-frequency, and low-latency data management chain. The projects are technically challenging in an environment that is very engaging.
We are looking for a Technical Project Manager who will assist the global engineering infrastructure team which manages 5,000+ individual components in the real-time development environments.
An Engineering Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects to make sure the proposed plan adheres to the timeline, budget and scope. Duties include planning projects in detail, setting schedules for all stakeholders and executing each step of the project. In addition, balancing team resources, budgets and inventory management.
- Works with project teams to define and design the scope for each project.
- Managing global equipment inventory, orders in flight, vendor relations on orders, alerting management to issues/forecast concerns
- Prepares and presents status updates for various projects
- Develop and manage the project, communication, resource plans and processes
- Analyze all management and technical processes to ensure they're delivered as expected
- Meet regularly with project stakeholders and define project goals and objectives
- Lead budget and resource allocation through all project phases
- Schedule project timelines
- Make estimates for the budget and schedule
- Generate regular reports to update stakeholders and manage projects
- Oversee day-to-day technical operations, including assignments and personnel review
- Define roles and responsibilities of the team and determine clear deliverables
- Manage time reporting completion and ensure appropriate timecodes are available before project inception
- Solve technical delivery problems
MUST
o A background in technical communication about project specifications, technical details, and deadlines.
o Managerial skills: teams, scheduling, budgeting, and planning.
o Trained in project management and knowledge of various methodologies to deliver successful projects
o Experience with HP enterprise-class hardware (DL360/380 Proliant series Gen9/10/10+/11).
o Knowledge of Windows and Linux-based hardware platforms (e.g., IBM, HP, Dell).
o Able to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment with little daily supervision.
o Education:
> BS/MS degree in project management or related technical field preferred, and/or.
> Equivalent work experience (minimum 3 years experience of management experience in IT fields including computer development projects and general IT, preferably within an enterprise environment).
NICE TO HAVEo Project management certification is preferred.
o Experience in a market-data environment is a plus!
o Experience with HP c7000 blade chassis and Synergy frames hardware.
