About the Team
Financial Markets (FM) has expertise combined with deep local market knowledge to deliver a variety of risk management, financing and investment solutions to our clients. The FM team offers capabilities across origination, structuring, sales, trading and research. Offering a full suite of fixed income, currencies, commodities, equities and capital markets solutions, FM has firmly established itself as a trusted partner with extensive on-the-ground knowledge and deep relationships.
Within FM, the Modelling & Analytics Group ('MAG') is accountable for design, development and delivery of real-time pricing models, risk models and core infrastructure which are used in enabling pricing, market data, intra-day risk reporting capability, and portfolio level analytics including reporting and capital optimization.
You will be the part of newly established and growing branch of MAG team in Poland.
- Take an existing database and normalize the table structures appropriately
- Provide guidance and implement both nonrelational and document database best practices.
- Be ready and willing to collaborate with other team members in the scrum team
- Perform software development tasks related to Database development and maintenance
- Builds knowledge of software development and utilizes this knowledge within work.
- Contributes to design work and planning for user stories.
- Executes on the delivery of given tasks.
MUST
- Experience & strong academic background
o 7+ years with relational databases
o Master's degree in Applied Mathematics or Computer Science.
o Excellent understanding of Set Algebra and Relational Algebra
o Continuous learning - staying up to date with the modern technologies
o Good general understanding of how the computers & networks work
- Technical skills
o Excellent knowledge of OLAP and Relational Databases and SQL (including SQL optimization)
o Hands-on experience with Production OLAP Cluster configuration and management (backup/restore, encryption, securing, sharding, replication, performance optimization)
o Data modelling skills (normalization / denormalization, vectorization, materialized views, compressions, optimization)
