Viessmann is a leader of technological progress in the heating industry, with its Wrocław based R&D Center developing the company’s products in the field of software and electronics. We use only state-of-the-art technology and equipment to translate the results of our work into innovative solutions to be applied in the near and more distant future.
The project is a middle layer of our IoT platform. It's a microservice backend hosted in Microsoft Azure cloud using multiple IaaS/PasS/SaaS services developed in C#.
At the beggining there will be manual testing and building a QA process, over time automated testing will be included.
Your responsibilities:
- Design QA processes and test environment.
- Analysis of project requirements in terms of the testing process.
- Support in defining Acceptance Criteria and subsequent verification of their implementation.
- Estimation of the time, complexity, and dependencies of project tasks.
- Design and execution of test cases using test management tools.
- Performing functional and non-functional manual tests and E2E tests.
- Automation of test cases (UI & Integration test on component/API level).
- Coordinating the testing process at each project stage.
- Creating test documentation (Test Plan, Test Report, etc.).
- Ensuring software quality by applying good practices and processes.
- Signaling risks within the scope of performed tasks to the project leader/project manager.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in application testing.
- Practical knowledge of functional tests (Integration, UI, Regression, Smoke, Exploratory, System) and non-functional tests (Compatibility).
- Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence.
- Knowledge of CI tools (Azure DevOps).
- Attention to detail.
- Communication skills.
- Knowledge of test automation tools (Selenium/Playwright for UI testing, other tools for API testing).
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming (C#, Java).
- Good English, written and spoken.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge about embedded system specifics in the context of software testing.
- The German language is a plus.
- Knowledge about IoT.
