As an Industry 4.0 consultant, you will work directly with industrial companies. You will use your knowledge of the manufacturing world to understand their needs, challenges, and current state. You will build a functional solution concept and a roadmap that will ensure the realization of business value and will be tailored to their needs. And finally, you will ensure that it is implemented and appropriately adapted by the client's team, in cooperation with people responsible for sales, technical implementation, and project management.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage directly with customers to evangelize, identify needs/improvement areas, and audit the current state.
  • Present portfolio, solutions, and business benefits, while consulting on building digitalization roadmaps.
  • Establish long-term key customers relationships, founded on trust and expertise.
  • Prepare offers, including feasibility studies, technical solutions, architecture planning (with technical team support), and time/effort estimations.
  • Provide support to the project delivery team, assisting in development, handover, and project finalization.
  • Collaborate with customers to extend, scale, and roll-out applications.
  • Stay updated on market trends and contribute to publications in areas such as Industry 4.0, Manufacturing, IT/OT convergence, and Industrial Automation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in diverse roles within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in English for technical, business, and IT discussions.
  • Passion for innovations and a cross-technical silos thinking approach.
  • Strong knowledge of Industry 4.0 trends, protocols, and applications (OPC UA, Modbus, MES, WMS, ERP, CMMS).
  • Some basic programming skills.
  • Practical knowledge of industrial automation software/hardware (PLC, PAC, Edge devices, SCADA, DCS, Historian).
  • Familiarity with ERP, MES, WMS, CMMS, PLM class software.

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge and experience in the manufacturing industry energy and utilities consumption (EMS, hardware, ISO 50001, ESG, sustainability, regulations and reporting…).
  • Some knowledge of OPC UA servers and Edge platforms for Industrial connectivity e.g. KEPServerEX (ThingWorx Kepware Server).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity (IT/OT) concepts.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and hardware (Industrial and IT).
