Postgres Developer

This is an additional freelance project, offering the candidate the opportunity to collaborate with a market-leading company in the home delivery sector. The project allows for independent work with a clear scope and deliverables, focused on PostgreSQL development. ● 2-3 years of experience working with PostgreSQL.
● Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries, functions, and stored
procedures using PL/pgSQL.
● Experience documenting databases and application logic clearly and thoroughly.
● Good understanding of relational database design principles.
● Ability to work independently and deliver results within agreed timelines (4-6 months).
● Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Nice to have:
● Familiarity with workflow automation solutions (Make.com, n8n)
● Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
● Experience with additional database tools or technologies (pgAdmin, DBeaver, DataGrip,
etc.).
● Basic knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
● Experience with performance tuning and query optimization techniques.
● Understanding of logistics or similar business domains.
● Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Responsibilities

● Analyze and document existing PostgreSQL-based applications, including database
schema, queries, functions, and procedures.
● Develop, optimize, and expand database functionalities using PL/pgSQL.
● Collaborate closely with the IT team to understand business needs and translate them
into technical solutions.
● Monitor and ensure the performance and efficiency of developed applications.
● Participate actively in technical reviews and project meetings, providing regular updates
on progress.
