Solution Architect-Mining

What you'll do

• Serve as an expert in adapting and integrating digital technologies into mining operations, identifying inefficiencies and improvement opportunities. 
• Translate business goals into a digital transformation strategy and a robust and scalable solution landscape.
• Identify and evaluate technologies such as IoT, cloud solutions, big data platforms, automation systems, and data analytics tools to support digitalization.
• Lead the initial scoping of technical requirements, ensuring alignment with both current and future business needs.
• Drive "buy vs. build" decisions for digital tools while ensuring alignment with enterprise standards for smooth implementation.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of digital mining initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry advancements in smart industrial technologies and emerging trends in automation, software development, cloud platforms, and data science.
• Drive innovation by integrating scalable and sustainable solutions into our mining practices.

Who you are

• Background in engineering disciplines such as automation, software development, and a related field.
• Proficiency in IoT systems, cloud computing (MS Azure, or similar), big data technologies, and data analytics platforms.
• Experience with software development life cycles (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
• Strong understanding of mining operations, equipment, and supply chain processes.
• Proven experience in leading or contributing to digital transformation initiatives in industrial or mining settings.
• Strong analytical skills and strategic mindset with the ability to translate complex business needs into actionable digital strategies.
• Ability and experience in spreading industrial education / technology among the entire class of people (from top management to manual workers).
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing multi-stakeholder projects.
• Willingness to work onsite 50% of the time on a monthly basis, with an initial four-week period fully onsite in our Katowice location to facilitate integration and team collaboration.
