Department Overview

Video Solutions teams in R&D centre in Krakow have been growing dynamically since 2019. Currently, we have more than 150 specialists on board working on solutions for cameras, video analytics, video management systems as well as access control.

We bring advanced video and analytics capabilities to public safety and commercial customers including healthcare, airports, retail, critical infrastructure and public venues. Video is no longer reactive – looking back at what has taken place – but it also informs proactively, issuing alerts in real-time when a person, object or vehicle appears or a perimeter is crossed. This critical intelligence enables users to take the right action more quickly.

Job Description

In the role of Lab Administrator / Test Engineer you will be responsible for efficient operation of one of the camera firmware laboratories in Krakow. You will also take part in the testing cycle of the newly developed firmware and closely collaborate with development teams.

Responsibilities  include:

Maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory database, coordinating the purchase process of  lab equipment.

Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers and Windows based host machines. 

Cloud Integration: Deploy, configure, and manage Linux-based instances on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure). 

Networking and Integration: Configure and troubleshoot network settings. Configure and maintain network switches and routers. 

Developing automated tests for camera firmware verification, performing manual and exploratory tests.

Basic Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position
• Solid understanding of network protocols, services (DNS, DHCP), and security principles.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python is a must)
• Good communication skills
• Working proficiency in English
• Willingness to work from the office

Optional Qualifications:

• Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DEVOPS  and Github actions.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience in the Video security business or knowledge of  IP cameras
