The Position

We are looking to add engineers to our team with strong PHP Laravel programming experience. You should be well-versed in MVC pattern and SQL database with a working knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS. The role would include:

  • Building new product features for both our customers and our product teams
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, frontend engineers, and ops in order to create innovative and usable solutions
  • Maintain, refactor and improve our application’s code base.

It is important to note that this role, although remote, requires working across Sydney, Australia business hours for at least 6 hours a day (GMT +10).

Needed qualifications

  • You have minimum 3-5 years of commercial back-end development experience with PHP Laravel.
  • Minimum 3 years working with complex web applications.
  • Proficient in PHP.
  • You have an In-depth understanding of Laravel, and relevant concepts
  • Exposure to writing unit, integration and E2E tests
  • Strong English written and verbal skills - this is important!
  • Experience using docker, Git and CI/CD

  • Working on a SaaS product (B2B)
  • Experience with Typescript or Rust
  • Experience working in a Fintech company
  • AWS Lambda / Microservices architecture
  • Any AWS technologies

The successful candidate can be based remotely but will report to the Product Owner in Sydney. The position is full time and remuneration is competitive, based on experience and location.

You'll need to have good written and spoken English. You should be able to work primarily in the Sydney, Australia timezone.
