Job Purpose and Overview

Appfire is looking for an experienced Senior Product Designer to join our team, with a focus on AI-enabled and trained-data/LLM-powered products. In this role, you'll work on finding solutions for challenging customer problems by designing functional, approachable, and delightful LLM-driven features and product experiences. Your work will have a high impact on how our globally scaling team uses AI and trained data as a material used across a wide range of Appfire products. This position is embedded in the Design Systems team within Appfire’s UX organization.

Your primary responsibility will be working with Appfire’s designers, developers, and the product team to help shape the future of AI-enabled products at Appfire. You will have the opportunity to mentor product designers in how they use AI and trained data responsibly and ethically and to act as a strong cross-functional advocate. 

You’ll be working closely with designers and engineers in defining patterns beyond the feature level, digging deep to ensure comprehensive and cohesive AI-enabled user experiences across the product suite. You will also serve as a core contributor to Appfire’s design system so that we evolve systems that can scale patterns and principles related to trained-data-powered product experiences with the needs of our organization as we grow.   

You will support and report to the Sr UX Manager for Appfire’s Design system and will work with a multi-disciplinary design team as well as major stakeholders from product, engineering, and other areas of the business. Your mission will be to work with product design teams and leadership to create and deliver a strategic design vision for next-generation, AI-enabled product experiences at Appfire.

What You Will Do

  • Work with product leadership to create a unified design view of Appfire’s product capabilities, specifically how AI and trained data are leveraged to create great product experiences.
  • Define solutions that incorporate AI and trained data in product features to provide business and end-user value.
  • Identify success metrics ensuring design solutions continue to deliver customer value.
  • Lead strategic vision and conceptual design outcomes at the portfolio level, which will provide a clear direction for our customer experiences across Appfire’s product landscape.
  • Propose new areas of work aimed at customer needs with compelling reasoning based on goals, constraints, and risks and execute them.
  • Perform competitive analysis, market assessments, and heuristic evaluations.
  • Participate in design reviews, and design critiques and act as a design craft leader, coaching and mentoring other designers to ensure consistent and cohesive product experiences.
  • Create artifacts to communicate the recommended user experience to internal stakeholders and development teams - such as project briefs, presentations, user flows, site maps, taxonomies, etc.  
  • Collaborate with Appfire’s research team on research studies to understand customer behavior, refine design approaches, and validate solutions. Strategize with product team members to act on research findings. 
  • Build meaningful relationships with a cross-functional team that includes developers, product managers, subject matter experts, and stakeholders. 

  • Salary Ranges: Perm (UoP) 16 000- 21 500 PLN gross/month.

What We Would Like To See

  • 7+ years of experience in user interface design, information architecture, interaction design, human factors, and other related UX disciplines. 
  • MA/MS degree in Design, HCI, CS, or a related field or at least 5 years of professional experience, having led projects and showcasing specialized expertise in specific UX disciplines.
  • Must have a strong portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Competencies, Education, Training, Work Experience, Specialized) 

  • Experience with strategic implementation of Enterprise software in a SaaS environment or with complex enterprise products.
  • UX prototyping experience with tools like Figma.
  • Experience in design systems, and the ability to identify common components required to support a wide array of customer use cases. 
  • A passion for storytelling and the ability to bring design direction to life with user journeys, personas, scenarios, navigational maps, flow diagrams, wireframes, and prototypes.  
  • Building presentations that demonstrate structured ideation aimed at solving business and end-user problems.
  • Planning and running research activities and synthesizing the results into actionable plans.
  • Expert level knowledge of Design Thinking principles and comfortable leading Cross-Functional Design Thinking exercises.  
  • Experience using analytics data to inform design decisions.
  • Web and Large Enterprise experience.
  • Experienced and comfortable working with Agile development teams.  
  • Expert-level knowledge of competitive products & experiences. 
  • Some project management (work plans) experience.
  • Experience designing products for or adjacent to agile and developer platforms.
  • Experience with Atlassian, http://monday.com, and/or Microsoft Azure DevOps preferred.
