We are looking for skilled individuals for the Global Technology Center in Kapelanka / Kraków to act as software engineers in the Financial Threat Crime Mitigation (FTCM) IT department, part of the Financial Crime Risk (FCR) function.


The Team:

FCR brings together all areas of financial crime risk management at HSBC and is dedicated to implementing the most effective global standards to combat financial crime. 

FCTM, a sub-function of FCR, is an industry leading, global capability that’s able to identify emergent risk issues and financial crime proactively, quickly and effectively, preventing illicit actors accessing the global financial system. FCTM IT is using cutting edge Big Data technology to build tools that enable a global network of Investigators, Intelligence Analysts and Data Scientists to conduct effective intelligence-based investigations. The team covers 20+ live IT Systems and includes +400 IT professionals.


Key Accountabilities:

You’ll be working as member of a software development team, developing and supporting applications and systems that provide investigative tools to FCTM colleagues around the world. Tools such as; social network analytics (SNA), negative news search, transaction network monitoring and company/individual financial crime risk scoring software.


We promote a DevOps culture so you will need to get involved with the deployment and operation of the software we build. You can expect some DevOps duties in a certain stage of the project.
